Ifeatu Melifonwu is a football cornerback who currently plays for the Detroit Lions in the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Lions in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft with the 72nd overall pick.
Melifonwu played college football at Syracuse University, where he started all 34 games he appeared in over his four-year career. During his time at Syracuse, he recorded 98 total tackles, six interceptions, and 25 passes defended. His impressive play on the field earned him All-ACC honors in each of his final three seasons.
