Jason Sanders is a placekicker for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Dolphins in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of New Mexico.
Sanders had a successful rookie season with the Dolphins, converting 18 of his 20 field goal attempts and all but one of his extra point tries. His performance earned him recognition as the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for December 2018.
In his second season with the team, Sanders continued to perform at a high level. He made 23 of his 26 field goal attempts and converted all but two of his extra points. Once again, he was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for November 2019.
Throughout his career, Sanders has been known for his strong leg and accuracy from long range. In fact, he set a franchise record for longest field goal made when he kicked a 59-yarder against the Cincinnati Bengals in 2019.
